The Challenge

The client wanted to create a walkway to be made up of a variety of brightly coloured and contrasting shades. It needed to be aesthetically pleasing and to distinguish between the different zones. The product also needed to be flexible enough to be fitted around the various shapes of the animal enclosures and able to cope with continual heavy foot flow.

Our Solution

ULTICOLOUR was specified in five different colours to create a series of walkways to guide visitors around the different sections. It was identified as being the only product on the market that fulfilled all of the project’s requirements. We supplied and laid a total of 82 tonnes of ULTICOLOUR. This consisted of 35tonnes of green, 16 tonnes of orange, 14 tonnes of buff, 12 tonnes of mid blue and five tonnes of red.

The colours were successfully segregated using demarcation metal and the project was completed ahead of schedule.

Results and Benefits

Because ULTICOLOUR is fast to install the full work was completed early. The finished surface is smooth and maintenance free providing dramatic and vibrant defined walkways. The ULTICOLOUR finish was specially designed to meet customer requirements and the surface is performing well.
